Our Ultimate Vietnam Photography Adventure journey begins in Saigon, with photographic explorations of Vietnam’s bustling commercial capital. We’ll wander the alleyways of Chinatown and vintage apartment complexes, mixing with the locals while we capture dynamic street shots. In the Mekong Delta, we’ll cruise the lush-leaved canals of Tra Su Cajuput forest by longboat, and mix with the busy traders at Long Xuyen floating market.
Heading north, we stop by the ancient town of Hoi An to photograph local fishermen working with their nets and basket boats, before a breathtaking trip over the coastal Hai Van Pass. From Hue, we travel north on the Reunification Express to Ninh Binh, a province of mesmerizing landscapes and hand-crafted silk, ceramics and incense. Arriving in the capital Hanoi, we’ll experience and document authentic daily life, from the Old Quarter to ‘train street’, to the atmospheric Long Bien night market.
Our journey culminates with an adventure into spectacular Ha Giang province for a close encounter with the colorful hill tribes of the far north. We’ll enjoy the hospitality and music of our Red Dzao hosts, and spend a thrilling morning at Meo Vac tribal market, where villagers converge from afar to buy, barter and catch up with old friends. It all makes for an incredible photographic adventure, experiencing and capturing this diverse and fascinating country from south to north.

Expectations of our Ultimate Vietnam Photography Tour
In the company of our team of professional photographer guides, we’ll create a rich visual narrative of life in Vietnam, as well as enjoying an unforgettable experience of this fascinating country. Expect to shoot a huge range of images, from street photography to epic landscapes and photographic series about time-honored craft production. However, our visual focus tends mostly to the Vietnamese people and their daily lives, particularly where the old world meets the modern.
We always aim to tell authentic stories with our images, and this means mixing and interacting with the locals, whether in a Mekong floating village, a fishing harbor in Danang or a remote Hmong stilt house. Along the way, we’ll develop our skills in all aspects of photography, from image composition to lens selection and use of different settings. We’ll have regular review sessions, as well as feedback on the go, drawing on the experience and know-how of our expert guides, and the input of our fellow photography-loving travelers.
